Hello, my name is Anne-Marie (she/her). I am a Master’s level MA counselling psychology intern, qualified to practice under the clinical supervision of Chloe McKinley. I come to the counselling profession with a deep sense of curiosity and a passion for learning. This is born out of a career in teaching both in Canada and, for almost a decade, overseas. Through deep connection with families, domestically and abroad, I learned we all crave acceptance, connection, and love, and that this relationship begins within ourselves. I bring this experience into the counselling room as I support clients through compassionate and person-centred care. Clients are the experts in their own lives and the counselling space is where self-awareness, healing, and growth can take place, free of judgment, in safety, comfort, and confidentiality.
My focus will remain on providing my best support using an integrative person-centred approach drawing on many of the theories you have read about. My philosophy is if you feel you are drifting, the light is not as bright, you are crawling instead of running, everything is just so overwhelming, and so much more, welcome, you are at the right place, let’s talk.
